Koda is a 3-year-old large Doodle seeking a responsible, experienced home in Tucson.
Koda spent his first two years isolated and alone in a backyard with very little human contact, so when he was first rescued he struggled with socialization and resource guarding - food, treats, toys. Since being rescued, Koda has made significant progress working with a professional training facility in Tucson. Our volunteers and trainers know him as a sweet, smart, sensitive guy who does best with structure and clear expectations.
Koda needs:
An experienced dog owner, comfortable with large dogs and resource guarding behaviors;
A calm, structured, adults-only home with firm boundaries; and
Someone committed to continuing his training plan (his Tucson trainers have offered to work with a new owner to assist with the transition for success).
Ideally, Koda's new home would be in Tucson where he can maintain relationships with his trusted groomer and trainer. Koda is a special dog ready to thrive with the right person. If you think you might be that match, please contact us about Koda today!
