Cashew (AKA Archie) was rescued by an APR foster. The foster nursed him back to health and is now ready to list him for adoption. This is a courtesy post by the Arizona Poodle Rescue for the foster.
Meet Cashew aka; Archie!
Age: Approximately 7 years old Breed: Chihuahua/Terrier mix
Archie is the definition of resilience and proof that a little love can completely transform a dog's life.
Archie’s journey hasn't always been an easy one. He came to us from the Maricopa County shelter where he found himself on the E-list. Having been a stray for quite some time, he arrived in rough shape—underweight, terrified of the world, and covered in ticks.
Fast forward to today, and you would never guess his difficult past! Thanks to his fosters, Archie is now 100% healthy, happy, and thriving. He has blossomed into a bundle of energy and joy. Though he is estimated to be around 7 years old, he has the spirit of a much younger pup.
Archie is incredibly social and loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He is a fantastic walking companion and, after he's burned off some energy, he is perfectly content to spend the afternoon napping and snuggling up with his people. Everyday, a little more of his sweet, goofy personality shines through. He is truly a wonderful dog just waiting for a family to give him the second chance he deserves.
