We Do What Is In The Best Interest Of The Dog.
Pixie is a 2-year-old, 55 lb standard poodle with looks as lovely as her personality. She is a very well-behaved dog. She's dog door trained, doesn't go on to furniture and walks at a natural heel position. She loves to go for walks which is good since she came to us with an injured hind leg that needed both hip (FHO) and knee (TPLO) surgeries. Walking is one of the best rehabilitations for these surgeries. She has fully recovered but will need to continue exercising her leg. Pixie gets on well with other larger dogs and we would prefer that she go to a home with another larger, friendly dog. No small dog homes. Pixie needs a home that is a single story, stairs are difficult for her. Pixie wouldn't do well in an apartment or condo as she will bark when her person leaves and comes home.
