Henry and Louie are a pair of bonded standard poodles and must be adopted together.
Henry is a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely loves his people. If there are pets, cuddles, and attention to be had, Henry wants to be right in the middle of it! He is happiest when he can stay close to his family and will gladly soak up all the love you are willing to give.
Henry is the more confident and trusting of the two brothers. He is very welcoming with new people and is usually happy to walk right up to someone for pets and affection. He also does well with children. Henry and his brother Louie are very bonded, and after some time getting comfortable with our resident dog, Henry has also learned to enjoy playing with him.
Henry has sensitive skin and allergies, which can affect his coat and give it a slightly different appearance than a typical poodle coat. His future family should be prepared to continue being mindful of his skin and allergy needs and follow any care recommendations from his veterinarian.
Henry is doing wonderfully with potty training and has not had any accidents in the house. He is crate trained and does well in his gated area. He is still working on his leash manners and can pull a little. He may also get excited and a little noisy when he first sees another dog, but he settles down once he has a chance to adjust.
Henry does have a softer side when it comes to storms. Thunder and lightning can make him nervous, but with his person nearby giving him some extra love and reassurance, he settles in just fine.
Henry’s favorite thing may simply be being loved. He is an affectionate, people-oriented boy who would love a family where he can be part of the action, receive plenty of attention, and have his brother Louie by his side.
The total adoption fee for Louie and Henry is $1500.00. They are neutered and up to date on all shots and will be microchipped.
