Scoshi is looking for someone to be her sunshine so she can be their shadow! This sweet, shy, 40-pound Standard Poodle is searching for her special person, and once she chooses you, prepare to have the most devoted little shadow you’ve ever met.
Scoshi takes being a velcro dog to a whole new adorable level. She wants to be wherever you are, preferably close enough to touch. Working at your desk? She’ll be right underneath it. Eating dinner? She’ll keep you company under the table. Watching TV? She’ll happily snuggle beside you, or perhaps right on top of you! And if she had her way at bedtime, she’d be tucked right between you and your pillow. Let’s just say Scoshi believes personal space is a little overrated!
The wonderful news is that Scoshi is coming out of her shell and gaining confidence every day. Watching her discover that the world can be a safe and happy place is a joy, and her future person will be rewarded with all the love she has to give.
A few more reasons to fall in love with Scoshi:
A couple of things her future family should know:
Scoshi can be a bit of a door-dasher so everyone in the household will need to be careful around doors and gates. She can also get a little jealous when other dogs crowd her favorite person. She hasn’t shown any aggression, but she may offer an occasional warning growl. A calm, easygoing dog who respects her space would be a better fit than a reactive dog who might take offense.
Scoshi’s happily-ever-after home
Scoshi would love a patient, loving woman to call her person. If there’s a man in the household, she’ll need time and gentle reassurance to feel comfortable with him. She would do best in a home without young children, as she may become jealous when they compete for her person’s attention. Older kids should be just fine.
She is comfortable around other dogs. We think she'd do well with cats, although that hasn’t been confirmed.
More than anything, Scoshi needs someone to love. She has a huge heart and wants to give it to you. In return, you’ll get a sweet, devoted companion who thinks you hung the moon.
If you’ve always wanted a best friend who follows you from room to room, keeps your feet warm under the desk, and makes sure you’re never lonely on the couch, Scoshi might just be your girl!
Scoshi’s adoption fee is $850, which includes her completed spay surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, and microchip.
