Smudgy is a sweet 2-year-old, 14-pound Miniature Poodle/Terrier mix. Smudgy was rescued from the county animal shelter and we are happily getting to know him in his foster home.
We have discovered that he is a good-natured little guy. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and he loves people of all ages. We don't know how he is with cats, but we suspect he'd be just fine!
Smudgy enjoys playing with his toys and will even entertain himself with them. He also loves curling up in a warm lap for some quality snuggle and nap time.
He is working on his house training and is doing great! He knows how to use a dog door and accidents are rare. With a little guidance, he will be completely trustworthy soon. He does still have a lot of puppy energy and will need some help with leash training as he is a little too enthusiastic! In the home, he can be occasionally mischievous and enjoys a good read (i.e. he has chewed up a magazine or two) but he is easily redirected to toys and other appropriate chew toys. His new family should plan on giving him lots of attention!
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who doubles as a lap warmer, this little guy might be your perfect match.
Smudgy's adoption fee is $700, which includes his already completed neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccines, and a microchip.
