Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Coconut, “coco”is a happy go lucky, energetic, sweet 12-year-old apricot toy poodle. She weighs about 13 pounds. Sadly, her owner passed away and Coco now needs a new foster home or ideally forever home. Coconut is blind, but that doesn’t slow her down. She loves to follow her person around the house. She is definitely a “ Velcro “ dog.

We recently learned that Coco has a low titer for valley fever. She is currently on medication to treat this condition. She does not have any “symptoms” of valley fever. The rescue will pay for her medication.

Coco was recently spayed, she had a dental cleaning, she is current on all her shots and she has a microchip.

She is crate trained, and is content to spend time in her crate when her foster family leaves the house. She is housebroken once she knows where to go. Coco is learning to walk on a leash. She loves to go for walks and explore the world around her. She comes when called and sits on command. Coco is very comfortable napping in her dog bed. Of course she would prefer to nap in your lap, she loves to cuddle and have her belly rubbed.

Coco gets along well with other dogs. Because she is blind, she would have no problem with cats. Her adoption fee is $250, however, we will consider permanent foster to the right individual who is able to make a long-term commitment to her.
