I've found my furever family!

Donna is a sweet, playful, cuddle bug. She loves playing with toys and collecting them on her dog bed. She even throws the ball for herself (up in the air to chase)! She gets along with 'boss' cats - interested in play but not obsessive or chasing. She loves other dogs and initiates play with her foster sister a few times a day. She walks well on a leash but she does get excited and jump in the air when she sees other dogs. We're working on that! Donna is very smart. She learned how to use a dog door in 3 minutes! Her foster sister is scared of it, so she's teaching her new tricks. She is treat and attention motivated and would do great in doggy school. She only knows one command so far ("touch" to come over and touch her nose to our hand for a treat or pat), but we're starting on "sit". She likes to be with her people and barks and howls a bit when left home alone (even with her foster sister and cat). She also likes to eat out of her foster sister's bowl at dinner rather than just sticking with her own (we're working on that too) so she should not be fed around possessive dogs. But she shares her own bowl willingly. She gently mouths your hand with excitement and when playing with sis - she acts like a mature puppy. Donna would probably prefer to have a canine companion but is very people focused so she could be ok as a single dog who gets regular play time with others. Donna is sweet, smart and a joyful soul!
