King is a 7-year-old, 40-pound Labradoodle with a big heart, a goofy personality, and one simple goal: to be wherever his people are!
Coffee run? King’s in. Road trip? He’s ready to ride in the back seat. Couch cuddle? Save him a spot! Give this guy a good chew toy and some quality time with his favorite humans, and he’s living his best life.
King is an energetic guy who loves being part of the action. He’s always happy to join you for a car ride, hang out at a coffee shop, or tag along on your daily adventures. He needs daily walks, regular exercise, and plenty of playtime to help channel all that enthusiasm. He’ll do best with an active family who can keep him moving and engaged. And when the excitement winds down, he’s more than happy to curl up on the couch with his favorite people.
King has been through a lot of change and some instability in his life, through no fault of his own. Now, he’s looking for the consistency, security, and love of a forever home. He wants to be close to his people and included in their daily lives. He deserves the chance to feel safe, build trust, and finally put down roots.
What about other dogs? King loves spending time with dogs he knows and does well with familiar dog friends in a home or backyard setting. Walks are a little more challenging, especially when he encounters unfamiliar dogs and gets overly excited. He’s still working on his leash skills and learning to stay calm around other dogs, so he’ll benefit from a family willing to continue working with him on these skills.
King needs a cat-free home. His foster family has cats, and while King seems to want to play with them, he can get carried away barking at them. This understandably scares the cats, so a home without cats is the best fit for everyone.
King will thrive with a family that can offer patience, consistency, continued training, daily exercise, and plenty of love. In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate companion who wants to be by your side for all of life’s adventures, big and small.
