Greater Good Charities, NBCUniversal Local, a division of NBCUniversal, and Hill’s Pet Nutrition are excited to bring you the Clear The Shelters Campaign, running from August 1 – August 31, 2023!  This year, there will be weekly prize funds from our partners at Hill’s Pet Nutrition so stay tuned for updates. During the first week of August, $25,000 in matching funds will be given away.  When donating at our custom page, our donors will have the option to cover transaction fees with their donation so 100% goes directly to Arizona Poodle Rescue.

Clear The Shelters™ / Desocupar Los Albergues® is an annual, nationwide pet adoption campaign that is spearheaded by NBCUniversal Local, a division of NBCUniversal. Every year, NBCUniversal Local’s NBC and Telemundo owned stations, plus affiliated stations, partner with animal shelters and rescues in their communities promote pet adoption and raise needed funds. NBCUniversal Local’s Clear The Shelters campaign was inspired by a 2014 North Texas pet adoption event hosted by NBC 5 / KXAS and Telemundo 39 / KXTX and dozens of area shelters that resulted in the most adopted pets in one day for North Texas. Since 2015, Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign has resulted in more than 860,000 pet adoptions.

Arizona Poodle Rescue is an all volunteer group. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are in private foster homes in the Phoenix area. We offer temporary care, spay or neuter, provide medical care when needed and find new suitable homes.

Arizona Poodle Rescue is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. As a non-profit, we rely on the generosity of poodle and dog lovers in general to assist us in continuing our mission of saving Standard Poodles in need.
